Mentor & Education Consultant
Natalie supports students who struggle to fit into the mainstream education system. She specialises in working with students whose mental health prevent them from being able to participate in school. In many cases, this has led them to be excluded entirely, or with prolonged absences that threaten any academic success. Her aim is to help students get an exam qualification, or a University place, who otherwise might not be able to.
She has written articles addressing the social and psychological issues that modern students face, and designed courses to educate young people about Psychology: so they can better understand how their minds work. She has also visited students in prison, to support them studying for a GCSE.
Where academic teaching is required, Natalie predominantly works within subjects of Psychology and Philosophy, with students aged between 16 and 21. She supports them academically and pastorally, to combat challenges to their education and level the playing field in their academic lives. She is a specialist in delivering Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills, and working with significant SEN, AEN or adverse Mental Health.
In 2025, she was awarded for her Commitment to Educational Equity.
Natalie separates her mentoring work by using her full name: Natalie Lauren Woodward.
